“What you resist, persists.”
Francesca Cusati
My teaching style: I teach hatha, yin yoga and meditation, and also hot power fusion… drawing on my own ongoing practice and experience at the studio. My classes are grounded and attentive, with a strong focus on cultivating on the body, inner experience and mind space. Through asana, breathwork and meditation, I invite students to slow down, connect from within and to the presence moment. Sound bath became an integral part of my yin classes, allowing space for deeper integration and relaxation.
About me: I began practicing yoga during my university studies, and my yoga journey and naturally evolved over time, shaped by different places, experiences and personal needs. I decided to study the Sivananda lineage with the desires of deepening my practice and understanding, and I continued to learn and explore yin yoga and anatomy. Along the way, I discovered a strong interest in sound bath and the bells’ effects on the body, feelings and mind. To my surprise, I came to appreciate the intense and invigorating feeling of practicing yoga in a hot room, a grounding experience.
Yoga reminds me to pause, take a moment for myself, cultivate awareness in everyday life, and to challenge my beliefs by tracking thoughts and feelings to the source.
Where you’ll find me when I am not at yogaloft: Hiking in the woods or reading a book.
Most memorable yoga experience: The last savasana of the end of my 200H YTT, a transporting and engaging sensation on my sixth chakra.
Favorite Food: Broccoli with sesame seeds in the oven… simple and delicious.
