Alex Scarlat
Whats your yoga style? I teach yang-yin, hot power fusion and yin yoga. I especially love teaching yang-yin classes as they offer a perfect balance between intensity and stillness. I believe in the kind of challenge that feels like a "good kind of pain" that makes you walk out feeling stronger than when you walked in.
About me: I discovered yoga in 2019 at my CrossFit box; it was a yin yoga class, and I knew right away it was something special. For the first time, I was able to fully let go of my thoughts, relax deeply and learned to focus through my breath. That stillness felt natural to me and aligned with my calmer, quieter nature. For years, yin yoga was my favorite practice and I felt a strong sense that I wanted to share its benefits with others, leading me on my path of becoming a yoga Teacher, by following the 50hr Yin Yoga Teacher and 200h Power Vinyasa Yoga Teacher trainings with yogaloft.
In 2024, I discovered hot yoga and I was instantly hooked. It became my main practice and a powerful way to challenge myself physically and mentally. Once you step into the heated room, you have no choice, but to clear your mind of noise and worries, release your fears and trust your body.
Where you will find me when I am not at yogaloft: Probably cycling, running, or sailing somewhere in the Mediterranean.
Most memorable yoga experience: Most memorable yoga experience: Definitely my 200-hour training—it was truly transformative. With guidance from Tulsi, Amelie, and Pradeep, I had the chance to discover new edges of my resilience and learn with 12 like-minded people who became a close and supportive part of my yoga journey.
Favorite Yoga Pose: Standing Bow, Half Moon and Dragon are some of my favorite postures. They each challenge me in different ways to find balance, strength, and stability, while also requiring focus and presence. These poses push me physically, but also remind me to stay calm and connected even when things feel intense.
