Susi Muller

My teaching style: I teach the class the way I practice myself, so that I can use my experience to help guide my students on their own personal yoga journey.

I alternate between intense and relaxed moments, and I encourage my students to be playful, to give themselves a chance to re-discover their bodies and what they are capable of. My class always starts with sun salutations to warm up and prepare the body. Afterwards different asanas /poses alternate with short relaxations, for each part of the body and chakra, one by one. Every asana is held for some time (30 seconds – 2 minutes). The class finishes with a longer relaxation and a short sitting meditation.

About me: Feminist. Artist. Yogini. Not necessarily in that order. I am very straight forward, honest until it hurts and passionate about the things I do and people I care for. I constantly seek for answers, I would like to understand everything to it´s core, especially my purpose in this life. In the meantime I try to be part of creating a more fair and healthy humanity, through theater, circus and yoga practice.

Where you’ll find me when I am not at yogaloft: In the woods, walking (barefoot), in a theatre @Rotondes, Grand Theatre, Theatre des Capucin (not barefoot).

If I need to of dance, I good to Gudde Wellen. No drinking, no chatting, only dancing.

Guilty Pleasure: Books are a big problem for me: Book stores are a danger zone. For my wallet. And after finishing a book I suffer like I had my heart broken. I read feminist (graphic/ historian/ love) novels and dystopian science fiction. To get out of those dark stories some fantasy with magic and alternate realities. Or some amazing, uplifting, artsy woman biography.

I am inspired by: Everyone who stands up to speak their mind and everyone who doesn’t try to fit into the conventional way of life but lives according to their heart´s desires.

My spirit animal is: The spider

Cat person or Dog person? I am definitely a shark person. The bigger the better.
