I came to yoga my senior year of college after years of competitive running as a stretching solution while I trained for my first marathon. Although I didn’t love it at first and felt fidgety the entire class, every class I always felt better afterword and could tell it was doing my body good.
Two years later, I came across a teacher that made my yoga class more of a spiritual experience, and I was hooked. When I moved to Washington D.C., I found teachers that spoke to my soul, and knew I wanted to learn how to create such a moving experience for people.
In 2016, I completed my 200 hr YTT at Flow Yoga Center under the guidance of Brittanie DeChino and Cory Bryant. My classes are joyful and nurturing. You can expect a soulful vinyasa flow, heavily influenced by my own ashtanga practice, where you will be given the opportunity to deepen poses to the soothing sound of your breath, and usually some good beats. My classes are playful yet challenging, with hands on assists, and a safe space to explore the connection of body and mind.
