HIIT Yoga (HIGH INTENSITY INTERVAL TRAINING) combines yoga with Tabata style exercises to create a dynamic, high energy fitness class. Classes begin with 25 minutes of yoga Flow to warm and stretch the body followed by 12 minutes of Tabata style exercises and finishing with gentle yoga stretches to cool. Tabata intervals are 20 seconds with a 10 second rest period, exercises are different every time and modifications are happily given for those with knee, back or other injuries. The combination of the yoga flow, tabata workout and gentle stretches will enhance the performance of other sports you may be practicing. Everyone is encouraged to come and work at their own fitness level. The intention of this class is to build strength, move dynamically and try something new.
