gentle yoga for the back & spine is designed to cultivate optimal spinal health and comfort. this class moves slowly and offers a deliberate, step-by-step approach to the basic yoga postures that help prevent and relieve back pain. yoga practice can help us stretch what is tight, strengthen what is weak, and allow our bodies to perform everyday activities with more ease and joy. yoga is meant to be a sustainable, life-long and enjoyable practice. in order to make a yoga posture practice sustainable, we must learn how to create safe practices built on a solid understanding of anatomy. suitable to those with back pain and/or those who like to move at a slower pace. all levels are welcome including those new to yoga.
