The name Budokon was taken from the Japanese BU (Warrior) DO (the way), KON (the spirit, soul) and means the way of the spiritual warrior.
Considered a science, art and philosophy which synchronizes classical yoga with, martial arts, calisthenics, animal locomotion and life science, BudokonⓇ Yoga reshapes modern yoga by uniting the ancient tradition of self- inquiry with modern mixed movement.

Budokon® Yoga was codified and popularized beginning in 2001 by Cameron Shayne, who is considered the father of the mixed movement arts culture.

Budokon® Yoga style is best described as a transition based Hatha Yoga flow with continuous circular rotation. The Yoga Style honors roots of Hatha Yoga while bringing a completely unique Martial Arts circular influence. Agility, coordination and body consciousness are the effects from this holistic training. Movement awareness is creating inner and outer balance in each and every moment. This is why the motto of BudokonⓇ Yoga is: The way we do anything is the way we do everything.

The foundation of this style is the BudokonⓇ Yoga Primary Series. This series consists of 7 intelligently assembled sections of slow and controlled movements designed to improve mobility, agility, flexibility and strength.
